In Venice, street photography means shots of the canals. The Grand Canal is just that, Main Street in this ancient city that still reaches back to Marco Polo and Antonio Vivaldi.
You see the gentle colors and gorgeous architecture where the canal makes its sweeping turn toward the Rialto Bridge. It’s so attractive, I didn’t get to the side canals and narrow alleys until our next visit.
When these palatial residences were built, right on the water, it was an unimaginably different time.
Venice was one of the world’s greatest seafaring powers, home of the probably fictional Marco Polo, and the wealthy expressed themselves in art.
So much has been saved, you can still get a genuine sense of what the times must have been like.Venice Photography Wall Art Fine Art Prints Venice Italy
