Contemporary art inspired by Louis Kahn is the focus of Inversions, a fresh look at his wider influence.

Kahn designed FDR Four Freedoms Park, a peaceful, slopping city retreat. His mark on Roosevelt Island is a blissful tribute to our greatest president. But this show takes an original look that won’t be forgotten.

Opening night for the exhibit of Kahn’s influence on contemporary art drew an active crowd of admirers.

In 1974, Kahn died of a heart attack in a restroom at Penn Station in Manhattan. In his pocket, they found his design for Four Freedoms Park, and it anchored him on Roosevelt Island.

Art inspired by Louis Kahn looks like play, bending and turning like a child’s mind, but with discipline.
Art is the life of the party, and it brings people together. Louis Kahn’s art runs a straight line through diversity.
