A Boston Winter Crosswalk describes an urban experience familiar to people living in the Northeast, but the odder than usual angle is typical of the city built long before cars.
“We were staying in a hotel in downtown Boston. I looked out the window and saw the stark cold of this winter intersection. Huddled against the wind, people cross the geometry of the street. I got my camera out and took several shots. This is the one I liked best. When I look at it, I can still feel the cold.”
Street photographer Deborah Julian does all her own printing. Boston Winter Crosswalk is an 8 1/2 X 11 inch giclee print, signed on the white border at the bottom or on the reverse.
