Golden Sunrise NYC Skyline was hot on a bright, clear morning south of Hell Gate, where the East and Harlem Rivers meet conflicting tidal surges from Long Island Sound. Sun beams from the east wash the towers in Yorkville and the Upper East Side in golden light. The river calmed, between tides on a windless morning. The water mirrors the skyline’s towers.
