When I had my first solo exhibit at RIVAA‘s Octagon Gallery in New York, I used Passing for a poster advertising it. One day, I got a call from a woman wanting to buy the poster itself. I didn’t even know what to charge, but I quoted higher than anything I’d gotten for one of my pictures before. She said, “Yes,” so fast, I probably should have asked for more.
Passing NYC Subway is an 8 1/2 X 11 giclee print on Epson Archival Paper. Photographer Deborah Julian does all of her own print and signs every print on the lower white border beneath the image or on the reverse.
