Deborah Julian on her St. Mark’s Square Venice fine art print…
“When I walk through Venice, it’s like being a time traveler. Hauling a camera doesn’t make it less of a dream.”
Sink back in the gentle image of St. Mark’s Square as light recedes along with the crowds, the cameras and even the pigeons. This is Venice’s central square as it was a few hundred years ago, before Vivaldi and Mozart walked the streets or Marco Polo sat in jail, inventing stories of trips to China.
The St. Mark’s Square Venice Fine Art is 8 1/2 X 11 inches, a giclee finished on museum quality, archival Epson paper. All prints finished exclusively by Deborah Julian in her workshop. No outsourcing. Prints signed on the white border beneath the image or on the reverse.

“St. Mark’s Square, Venice, Italy, is a fine art print created from my street photography. It was a chilly spring evening as you can see from the jackets. A passing rain cooled it off some more but left the freshest light settling on the Adriatic and lagoon. Like so many times before, there was the invigorating sense that very little had changed in five-hundred years. Vivaldi, de Ponte or Mozart, as a child prodigy, strolling with his father, probably saw the square a lot like this.”
