FIGMENT NYC’s call for artists hit the internet over the weekend. The return to Roosevelt Island on June 6th and 7th features “The Dream Bigger art grant program.” Update: February 16th, 2020 — Call for artists closing date extended until March 1st.
FIGMENT NYC was a RIOC win, a big one, in 2019, and it was getting bigger. Planning for 2020 had already started before the coronavirus hit. 2021 is only a wish for now.
FIGMENT loves Roosevelt Island enough to bring the participatory arts festival back to Lighthouse Park, next year. FIGMENT 2020 now seeks City of Dreams Pavilion proposals.
Last Chance: Salvage Swings has one week left in residence on Roosevelt Island. Winner of FIGMENT NYC 2019’s City of Dreams competition, the artwork remains until Friday, August 23rd.

FIGMENT NYC 2019 kicked off today In New York on Roosevelt Island. June 1st, 2019, Roosevelt Island welcomed its first FIGMENT NYC participatory art project in Lighthouse Park. The crowd for this fun family event was perfectly light, and it was manageable, under fair morning skies.
